Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Gambar Berseri terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi pada Siswa Kelas VII PPS At-Thahiriyah
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh media gambar berseri terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas VII PPS At-Thahiriyah. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 28 siswa kelas VII, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok melalui teknik pengambilan simple random sampling, yaitu kelompok I (14 siswa) sebagai kelompok kontrol dan kelompok II (14 siswa) sebagai kelompok eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan data melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh secara signifikan dari penggunaan media gambar berseri terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas VII PPS At-Thahiriyah. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui perbandingan nilai post-test pada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelompok kontrol adalah 68,50 yang belum memenuhi capaian KKM, sementara nilai rata-rata siswa pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 84,71 di atas KKM 75. Validitas temuan ini diperkuat dengan hasil uji beda pada kelompok eksperimen dengan nilai t hitung (7,676) > t tabel (2,145) dan nilai p-value adalah 0,001. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media gambar berseri berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa.
