Analisis Penggunaan Bahasa Formal Dalam Interaksi Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas Pancasakti Makassar
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi penggunaan bahasa Indonesia formal dalam interaksi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia di lingkungan kampus. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kenyataan bahwa mahasiswa bahasa belum sepenuhnya menerapkan bahasa formal dalam berbagai situasi akademik maupun organisasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap enam konteks percakapan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa formal sangat bergantung pada konteks dan lawan bicara. Terdapat empat faktor utama yang memengaruhi pilihan ragam bahasa: (1) latar belakang (daerah asal/etnis), (2) hubungan (tingkat keakraban), (3) situasi (resmi atau tidak resmi), dan (4) tujuan komunikasi. Mahasiswa cenderung menggunakan bahasa formal dalam konteks akademik resmi, namun beralih ke bahasa informal atau campuran dialek lokal dalam suasana santai. Disimpulkan bahwa pembiasaan melalui pelatihan dan penguatan etika berbahasa sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga identitas profesional mahasiswa sebagai calon pendidik.
