Pengaruh Penerapan Metode Ice Breaking Terhadap Minat Belajar Siswa Pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Kelas VII SMP Pesantren Putri Yatama Mandiri Kabupaten Gowa
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Ice Breaking terhadap minat belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas VII SMP Pesantren Putri Yatama Mandiri. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian eksperimen murni dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 70 siswa kelas VII, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas melalui random sampling: kelas A (35 siswa) sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas B (35 siswa) sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes pretest dan posttest, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis secara statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil minat belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Ice Breaking dikategorikan berpengaruh. Hal ini dilihat dari nilai posttest kelas eksperimen 35 siswa yang memperoleh nilai dengan rata-rata 85,91 diatas KKM 75%. Berbeda dengan hasil minat belajar siswa pada posttest kelas kontrol 35 siswa tanpa menerapkan metode Ice Breaking karena nilai yang diperoleh siswa dengan rata-rata 66,51 yang mana belum mencapai kriteria yang yang ditetapkan sesuai dengan KKM 75%. Hasil tersebut sejalan dengan nilai t hitung (13,281) > t table (2,032) dengan signifikansi nilai p> 0,05. Dengan demikian penerapan metode Ice Breaking berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan minat belajar siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas VII SMP Pesantren Putri Yatama Mandiri.
