Keefektifan Model Examples non Examples dalam Pembelajaran Menulis Paragraf Argumentasi Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sukamaju Kabupaten Luwu
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan keefektifan model examples non examples dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf argumentasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sukamaju Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok. Penelitian ini didesain secara pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini, yaitu siswa kelas VIII.A dan VIII.E yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model examples non examples lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan yang tidak menggunakan model examples non examples dalam pembelajaran menulis paragraf argumentasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sukamaju Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Hal ini dibuktikan dari hasil uji mann-whitney u, diperoleh signifikansi ρ<α atau 0,002<0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Ini berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menulis paragraf argumentasi antara kelompok yang tidak diajar menggunakan model examples non examples dengan kelompok yang diajar menggunakan model examples non examples. Hasil tersebut juga didukung dari perbedaan nilai rata-rata (mean) posttest kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Nilai rata-rata (mean) posttest kelompok kontrol sebesar 55,28, sedangkan nilai rata-rata (mean) posttest kelompok eksperimen sebesar 68,06.
