Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Solving terhadap Kemampuan Berbicara Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Pakkalolo Satu Atap Kabupaten Luwu
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam berbicara
melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Solving pada siswa kelas VIII SMP
Negeri 1 Satu Atap Pakkalolo Kecamatan Bua, Kabupaten Luwu. Jenis penelitian ini
yaitu kuantitatif. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu total
sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 27 orang siswa, yang terdiri dari 13
orang siswa perempuan dan 14 orang siswa laki-laki. Pengambilan data dilakukan
dengan menggunakan tes dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan
menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan kempuan
berbicara siswa SMP Negeri 1 Pakkalolo Satu Atap Kecamatan Bua Kabupaten Luwu.
Hal ini ditunjukan berdasarkan peningkatan pengolahan data dari tes awal secara
kuantitatif yang menunjukan nilai rata- rata siswa yakni 57,74% berada pada rentang
nilai 69 – 55 dikategorikan cukup. Sedangkan, data dari data dari tes akhir
menunjukan nilai rata-rata 79,67% berada pada rentang nilai 75 – 84 dikategorikan
tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan
model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara
siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pakkalolo Satu Atap Kecamatan Bua Kabupaten Luwu.
