Representasi Makna Kultural dalam Gerakan Tari Seka Kontemporer Suku Kamoro Papua
Abstract
Tari merupakan salah satu warisan budaya yang menjadi identitas suatu suku yang ada di Indonesia. Selain sebagai bentuk ekspresi, tari juga dapat menjadi representasi yang menghubungkan masyarakat dan budayanya. Begitupula denga Tari Seka dari suku Komoro Papua. Meskipun demikian, tidak semua orang dapat memahami makna dari setiap gerakan tari sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna kultural dalam gerakan Tari Seka Kontemporer suku Komoro Papua menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Pierce. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang berorientasi pada makna gerakan tari. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah pengamatan atau observasi terhadap pagelaran tari di kegiatan Merauke Imbuti Festival 2024 dan wawancara mendalam. Analisis data dilakukan dengan transkrip data, klasifikasi data, dan mereduksi data. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa terdapat 8 gerakan dalam tarian yang merepresentasikan makna kultural. Selain gerakan, formasi gerakan tari menjadi wujud dari representamen yang menghasilkan interpretan terhadap pembacanaya.
