Analisis Wacana Naratif dalam Memoar Broken Strings karya Aurelie Moeremans: Kajian Kohesi dan Koherensi Teks sebagai Representasi Trauma
Abstract
Penelitian ini menganalisis wacana naratif dalam memoar Broken Strings: Kepingan Masa Muda yang Patah karya Aurelie Moeremans dengan dua fokus utama: (1) mendeskripsikan pemakaian unsur kohesi gramatikal, kohesi leksikal, dan koherensi teks dalam memoar tersebut; serta (2) menjelaskan bagaimana unsur-unsur kebahasaan itu merepresentasikan pengalaman trauma masa muda yang dialami penulis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik baca dan catat. Analisis data dilaksanakan menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Landasan teori yang digunakan adalah teori kohesi Halliday dan Hasan (1976), yang membedakan kohesi gramatikal (referensi, substitusi, elipsis, konjungsi) dan kohesi leksikal (repetisi, sinonim, antonim, kolokasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kohesi gramatikal yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah referensi persona dan konjungsi adversatif, sedangkan kohesi leksikal yang paling produktif adalah repetisi leksem bermuatan emosional. Koherensi teks dibangun melalui empat jenis hubungan: temporal, sebab-akibat, pertentangan, dan pengaruh-hasil. Pada dimensi representatif, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa setiap piranti kohesi dan koherensi tidak semata-mata berfungsi sebagai alat bangun teks, melainkan juga sebagai medium representasi kondisi psikologis penulis: repetisi merekam gejala intrusi traumatik, elipsis merepresentasikan fragmentasi naratif sebagai respons terhadap krisis psikologis, konjungsi adversatif mencerminkan dualitas antara citra sosial dan kondisi batin, dan koherensi kausal merepresentasikan tahap rekonstruksi makna dalam proses pemulihan. Penelitian ini mengisi celah kajian yang belum banyak menyentuh persimpangan antara analisis wacana linguistik dan representasi trauma dalam memoar berbahasa Indonesia.
