Masalah Sosial dalam Novel Dunia kecil Yang Riuh karya Arafat Nur: Tinjauan Sosiologi Sastra
Abstract
Indonesia sebagai negara multikultural tidak terlepas dari berbagai permasalahan sosial yang sering menjadi inspirasi bagi sastrawan untuk menuangkan kritik sosial melalui karya sastra. Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan masalah-masalah sosial dalam novel Dunia Kecil yang Riuh karya Arafat Nur menggunakan analisis Soekanto. Data berupa kata, frasa, atau kalimat dianalisis menggunakan teknik baca, analisis, dan catat untuk mengungkap realitas yang berfungsi sebagai media refleksi dan edukasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari sembilan kategori, ditemukan tujuh masalah sosial yaitu kemiskinan (absolut, relatif, kultural, struktural), kejahatan (pemerasan, penipuan, intimidasi, percobaan pembunuhan), serta disorganisasi keluarga (perceraian, perselingkuhan, pengabaian, dan KDRT). Selain itu, ditemukan pula masalah generasi muda, pelanggaran norma masyarakat (pelacuran, alkoholisme, judi), masalah lingkungan hidup (geografis, infrastruktur, sanitasi, wabah), dan inefisiensi birokrasi. Melalui temuan ini, penulis secara konsisten merefleksikan realitas masyarakat desa yang terjebak dalam lingkaran kemiskinan, kekuasaan perdukunan, serta disfungsi sosial lainnya sekaligus menawarkan kritik sosial yang kuat.
