Kesantunan Berbahasa dalam Film “Miracle In Cell No 7” Karya Hanung Bramantyo: Kajian Pragmatik
Abstract
Kesantunan berbahasa sebagai latarbelakang penelitian merupakan ketertarikan peneliti dengan fenomena kebahasaan, dengan memiliki tujuan menyelidiki bagaimana prinsip kesantunan Geoffrey Leech diterapkan dalam tuturan dialog film "Miracle in Cell No 7" karya Hanung Bramantyo. Peneliti menggunakan metode pragmatik dan deskriptif kualitatif. Analisis berfokus pada tiga maksim Leech: (1) Maksim Simpati, (2) Maksim Kedermawanan, dan (3) Maksim Penghargaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para tokoh secara konsisten mengikuti Prinsip Kesantunan Leech, melalui ucapan yang bermakna, penuh kasih sayang, dan pengorbanan. Dengan menciptakan ikatan emosional, kekompakan menjadi bukti nyata, seperti ditunjukkan oleh upaya kolektif para narapidana, empati tulus Kepala Penjara terhadap Dodo untuk membantunya mengurangi penderitaan yang alami. Selain itu, melalui pujian dan sanjungan ganda, Maksim Penghargaan digunakan untuk menegaskan dan mempertahankan citra Dodo sebagai ayah yang baik. Puncak kesantunan adalah Maksim Kedermawanan, ditunjukkan melalui tindakan pengorbanan yang berisiko tinggi, seperti berbagi makanan dan merencanakan pelarian, di mana secara tidak sadar mengorbankan dirinya sendiri untuk kepentingan orang lain. Menunjukkan bahwa film mengangkat nilai moral tertinggi, yaitu altruisme murni. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian menemukan bahwa kesantunan berbahasa dalam film dengan jelas menyampaikan pesan moral kemanusiaan tentang betapa pentingnya empati, pengorbanan, dan penggunaan bahasa yang baik untuk membangun dan mempertahankan hubungan interpersonal yang kuat dan penting di masyarakat.
