Ambiguitas Makna Kata Cinta dalam Novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta Karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy Kajian Semantik
Abstract
Ambiguitas merupakan aspek bahasa yang menarik untuk dikaji, terutama dalam karya sastra yang sarat nilai makna. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah ambiguitas makna kata cinta dalam novel religius karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy yang berjudul Ayat-Ayat Cinta melalui kajian semantik, khususnya bagaimana kata cinta menghadirkan berbagai makna dalam konteks linguistik, sosial, dan religius. Teori semantik digunakan untuk memahami variasi makna yang muncul dari penggunaan kata cinta dalam dialog, narasi, dan interaksi tokoh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa analisis dokumen, menganalisis kutipan-kutipan yang relevan dari novel. Analisis data dilakukan melalui identifikasi bentuk ambiguitas leksikal, gramatikal, dan kontekstual, serta interpretasi makna berdasarkan konteks penggunaannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kata cinta memiliki makna ganda yang kompleks: sebagai dorongan emosional dan romantis, sebagai rasa empati dan solidaritas sosial, serta sebagai komitmen moral dan spiritual terhadap Tuhan dan sesama. Ambiguitas ini memperkaya pengalaman membaca, sekaligus menampilkan strategi estetik pengarang dalam menyampaikan nilai moral dan religius. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pemahaman tentang kompleksitas makna bahasa dalam karya sastra dan pentingnya konteks dalam interpretasi makna kata.
