Revitalisasi Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Kearifan Lokal melalui Nilai Gotong Royong dalam Tradisi Pattaungeng Masyarakat Bugis Soppeng
Abstract
Pendidikan karakter menjadi aspek fundamental dalam pembentukan individu yang berintegritas, bertanggung jawab, dan memiliki kesadaran sosial yang tinggi. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pendidikan karakter adalah nilai gotong royong, yang merupakan warisan budaya bangsa Indonesia. Gotong royong mencerminkan sikap saling membantu, kebersamaan, dan solidaritas sosial dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan. Tradisi Pattaungeng dapat menjadi model pendidikan karakter yang tidak hanya menanamkan nilai gotong royong, tetapi juga memperkokoh rasa kebersamaan dalam masyarakat modern. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan menginternalisasi nilai gotong royong dari tradisi Pattaungeng dalam pendidikan karakter, sehingga dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal yang lebih kontekstual dan aplikatif di sekolah maupun di kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini adalah metode kualitatif untuk menggali nilai-nilai gotong royong dalam tradisi Pattaungeng masyarakat Bugis. Dalam setiap tahapan ritualnya, tradisi Pattaungeng menunjukkan bagaimana masyarakat saling bekerjasama untuk mencapai tujuan bersama, baik dalam mempersiapkan acara, menjalankan prosesi adat, hingga menjamu tamu. Tradisi Pattaungeng dapat merevitalisasi pendidikan karakter yang tidak hanya menanamkan nilai gotong royong, tetapi juga memperkokoh nilai persatuan, nilai kebersamaan, dan nilai pendidikan budaya dalam masyarakat modern. Oleh karena itu, tradisi Pattaungeng mengambarkan nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal yang lebih kontekstual dan aplikatif dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
