Budaya Ma’bedda Rica’ di Desa Itterung Kecamatan Tellu Siattinge, Kabupaten Bone (Tinjauan Semiotika)
Abstract
Penelitian ini diharapkan mampu memberi gambaran kepada masyarakat mengenai Budaya ma’bedda rica di Desa Itterung Kecamatan Tellu Siattinge, Kabupaten Bone.Pada penelitian ini kita akan memfokuskan pembahasan pada semiotik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Itterung, Kecamatan Tellu Siattinge, Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama satu bulan, yakni Oktober 2022. Sumber data terdiri dari dua sumber data, data primer, yaitu data berupa pelaksanaan kegiatan dan tradisi yang dilakukan dalam budaya ma’bedda rica. Data sekunder, yaitu data tambahan yang diperoleh dari buku-buku dan wawancara dengan masyarakat sekitar yang berkaitan dan mendukung penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya ma’bedda rica mengandung arti khusus yang keseluruhannya mengandung makna kebaikan dan kebajikan bagi kesejahteraan dan kebahagiaan calon mempelai. Selain itu, terdapat makna simbolik atau simbol-simbol yang terkandung dalam upacara ma’bedda’ meliputi arti simbol-simbol yang terkandung pada perlengkapan yang digunakan dalam upacara ma’bedda’ menurut kepercayaan atau pandangan masyarakat setempat.
