Struktur, Kebahasaan, dan Muatan Budaya Teks Berita Merdeka.com serta Relevansinya sebagai Sumber Belajar Teks Berita Berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching untuk Peserta Didik Kelas XI SMA
Abstract
Sumber belajar teks berita masih bersifat konvensional dan muatannya yang cenderung acak membuat ketidakmaksimalan dalam penggunaannya. Dalam pembelajaran berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching, sumber belajar perlu disesuaikan muatannya. Surat kabar daring dapat menjadi opsi yang dapat digunakan pendidik, salah satunya Merdeka.com yang memiliki beragam muatan berita dan aksesnya gratis. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) Mendeskripsikan struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks berita di laman Merdeka.com; 2) Mendeskripsikan muatan budaya dalam teks berita di laman Merdeka.com; dan 3) Mendeskripsikan relevansi teks berita di laman Merdeka.com sebagai sumber belajar teks berita berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan teoretis dan metodologis berupa teori struktur teks berita, kaidah kebahasaan teks berita, teori multikultural, dan sumber belajar, serta pendekatan metodologis berupa metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data secara observasi, dokumentasi, serta simak dan catat. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, begitu pula untuk uraian datanya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tiga data teks berita yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini memiliki struktur teks lengkap (memuat judul, teras berita, tubuh berita, dan ekor berita). Kemudian untuk hasil analisis kaidah kebahasaan, tiga data teks berita juga lengkap berdasarkan kaidah kebahasaan. Tiga data teks berita yang dianalisis menunjukkan bahwa seluruhnya bermuatan budaya dan relevan untuk pembelajaran berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT).
