Implementasi Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional (PSE) Berbasis CASEL dalam Meningkatkan Partisipasi Sosial Siswa pada Pembelajaran Cerita Pendek Kelas XI SMA
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas Pembelajaran Sosial Emosional (PSE) berbasis CASEL dalam meningkatkan partisipasi sosial siswa dalam pembelajaran cerpen di kelas XI SMA Islam Sultan Agung 3 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, dengan pendekatan experiential learning yang terdiri dari Concrete Experience, Reflective Observation, Abstract Conceptualization, dan Active Experimentation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PSE meningkatkan kepercayaan diri, keterampilan komunikasi, dan keterlibatan siswa dalam diskusi, dengan partisipasi aktif meningkat dari 35% pada Siklus 1 menjadi 85% pada Siklus 3. Kendala yang dihadapi mencakup ketimpangan kontribusi dalam kelompok serta resistensi awal terhadap metode baru, yang diatasi melalui pembagian peran yang lebih terstruktur dalam kelompok dan pemantauan interaksi siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi PSE dalam pembelajaran sastra dapat mengoptimalkan interaksi sosial, pemahaman teks, dan keterampilan kolaboratif siswa.
