Analisis Kritis Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan dalam Kurikulum Indonesia
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenali, merinci, dan menganalisis secara mendalam fungsi Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) dalam kurikulum pendidikan di Indonesia.Dalam konteks tantangan globalisasi dan pengurangan rasa nasionalisme, PKn berfungsisebagai alat yang penting untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai kebangsaan, toleransi, demokrasi,dan cinta tanah air kepada generasi muda. Penelitian ini mengadopsi metode kualitatifdengan menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka, yang mengandalkan berbagai sumber literatur seperti buku, jurnal, dan dokumen kebijakan pendidikan. Temuan penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa PKn memiliki dasar filosofis yang kuat dan berakar pada nilai-nilaiPancasila, serta didukung oleh landasan hukum dalam UUD 1945 dan regulasi pendidikannasional. Perkembangan kurikulum dari waktu ke waktu turut memengaruhi bentuk,pendekatan, dan substansi pembelajaran PKn, mulai dari PMP, PPKn, hingga PendidikanPancasila dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Di sisi lain, tantangan yang dihadapi dalampelaksanaan PKn di sekolah meliputi rendahnya partisipasi aktif siswa, metodepembelajaran yang masih didominasi oleh hafalan, serta lemahnya penguatan karaktersecara nyata. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang aktif,terintegrasi, dan kolaboratif, serta pemanfaatan teknologi dan keterlibatan komunitas sebagaisolusi untuk meningkatkan pelaksanaan PKn dengan cara yang efektif dan bermakna.
