Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sebagai Sistem Pendidikan Multikultural di Indonesia
Abstract
Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) berperan penting dalam mendukung pendidikan multikultural di Indonesia, yang dikenal dengan keberagaman suku, budaya, dan agama. Dalam konteks ini, PKn tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pengantar nilai-nilai kebangsaan, tetapi juga sebagai alat untuk menanamkan sikap toleransi, keadilan sosial, dan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi nilai-nilai multikultural dalam kurikulum PKn. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan multikultural mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap keragaman budaya dan menciptakan individu yang inklusif serta terbuka. Strategi pembelajaran berbasis multikultural yang diterapkan, seperti pembelajaran kolaboratif dan penyelidikan sosial, membantu siswa menginternalisasi nilai-nilai positif yang mendukung kohesi sosial. Dengan demikian, PKn berkontribusi dalam membentuk generasi muda yang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual, tetapi juga matang secara emosional dan sosial. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter di masyarakat yang multikultural, serta mendorong pengintegrasian nilai-nilai multikultural dalam praktik pendidikan di sekolah secara berkelanjutan.
