Analisis MLU (Mean Length of Utterance) dan Sintaksis pada Anak Usia 43 Hingga 51
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Mean Length of Utterance (MLU) dan pola sintaksis pada anak usia 43-51 bulan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengamati dan menganalisis ujaran anak melalui rekaman percakapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat variasi dalam pencapaian MLU di antara subjek penelitian. Subjek pertama (51 bulan) memperoleh MLU 3,31, subjek kedua (43 bulan) memperoleh MLU 4,31, dan subjek ketiga (48 bulan) memperoleh MLU 2,32. Berdasarkan teori Brown, hanya satu subjek yang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan yang ditetapkan, sedangkan dua subjek lainnya berada di bawah tahap yang seharusnya. Analisis pola sintaksis menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak telah menggunakan berbagai struktur kalimat, dengan dominasi pola Subjek-Predikat-Objek-Keterangan (S-P-O-K) dan Subjek-Predikat (S-P). Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa perkembangan bahasa anak dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk lingkungan komunikasi dan stimulasi bahasa. Hasil ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi orang tua dan pendidik dalam mengoptimalkan perkembangan bahasa anak.
