Struktur Naratif Legenda Cik Upik dan Relevansinya Terhadap Objek Wisata Danau Sipin Jambi
Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur naratif legenda Cik Upik dan membedah relevansinya terhadap identitas serta potensi pengembangan objek wisata Danau Sipin di Kota Jambi. Sebagai sebuah tradisi lisan yang hidup dalam memori kolektif masyarakat Melayu Jambi, legenda Cik Upik mengandung unsur-unsur naratif yang melampaui dimensi fiksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis naratif dan observasi lapangan. Data utama dalam penelitian ini adalah teks cerita rakyat Cik Upik dan Naga Pelindung serta kondisi fisik-empiris kawasan Danau Sipin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa struktur naratif legenda khususnya pada elemen latar (setting) dan simbolisme tokoh memiliki relevansi kuat dengan realitas geografis dan ekonomi danau saat ini. Relevansi tersebut ditemukan pada visualisasi alur galian naga yang berkorelasi dengan morfologi oxbow lake Danau Sipin, serta motif biji ajaib yang terefleksi dalam produktivitas budaya keramba jaring apung masyarakat setempat. Kajian ini menyimpulkan bahwa relevansi antara struktur naratif dan objek fisik merupakan modal budaya (cultural capital) yang krusial. Strategi pengembangan pariwisata berbasis storytelling direkomendasikan sebagai upaya untuk mengintegrasikan pembangunan infrastruktur modern dengan nilai-nilai naratif tradisional guna menjaga autentisitas dan identitas lokal di tengah arus modernitas pariwisata.
