Heuristik Pappaseng Masyarakat Desa Bonto Birao Tinjauan Semiotika
Abstract
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan makna pappaseng secara heuristik pada masyarakat desa Bonto Birao yang ditinjau dari kajian semiotika Michael Riffaterre. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian ini berupa teks yang terdapat dalam 11 buah pappaseng yang dikumpulkan dari tiga narasumber di Desa Bonto Birao. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya pembacaan heuristik terhadap teks pappaseng. Melalui pembacaan ini, terungkap makna-makna berupa pesan moral, biografi kehidupan, dan kondisi sosial. Setiap pappaseng memuat pesan-pesan luhur yang bertujuan membentuk karakter individu dalam tatanan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pappaseng tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai tradisi lisan, tetapi juga sebagai pedoman etika dan perilaku yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun kepada masyarakat di Desa Bonto Birao.
