Novel Indonesia Modern (1945–2000) dan Warisan Kolonial: Analisis Poskolonial terhadap Identitas dan Budaya
Abstract
Artikel ini membahas representasi warisan kolonial dalam novel Indonesia modern
periode 1945–2000 melalui pendekatan poskolonial. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada
konstruksi identitas, budaya, resistensi, dan relasi kuasa yang muncul dalam karya sastra
Indonesia modern. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan
pendekatan studi pustaka. Data diperoleh dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah dan karya sastra
Indonesia yang relevan dengan kajian poskolonial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
novel Indonesia modern tidak hanya merepresentasikan pengalaman kolonial, tetapi juga
memperlihatkan proses negosiasi identitas bangsa pascakolonial melalui konsep hibriditas,
mimikri, subaltern, dan resistensi budaya. Warisan kolonial masih tampak dalam sistem sosial,
pendidikan, budaya, hingga relasi kelas yang direpresentasikan dalam tokoh dan alur cerita
novel. Selain itu, sastra Indonesia modern menjadi media kritik terhadap dominasi kolonial
sekaligus sarana pembentukan identitas nasional Indonesia.
