Analisis Semantik terhadap Makna Simbolik dalam Puisi “Pohon, Jangan Lupakan Akarmu” Karya Leni Marlina
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the symbolic meanings in the poem “Pohon, Jangan Lupakan Akarmu” by Leni Marlina using a lexical semantic approach. The method employed is descriptive qualitative, with data in the form of words, phrases, and lines in the poem that contain symbolic meanings. The data collection technique is carried out through reading and note-taking, followed by analysis through identifying lexical meanings and interpreting symbolic meanings based on the context of the poem. The results showed that the poem uses natural symbols such as trees, roots, wind, leaves, rain, and sky to represent human life. The symbol “tree” represents human existence, while “roots” symbolize values, identity, and the origin of life. Other symbols illustrate environmental influences, life challenges, and the process of searching for identity.
