Representasi Ikon, Indeks, dan Simbol dalam Puisi Nyanyian Angsa karya W.S. Rendra
Abstract
Studi inimenelitirepresentasi ikon, indeks, dan simboldalampuisi W.S. Rendra, Nyanyian Angsa, menggunakanteorisemiotika Peirce sebagaikerangkaanalisis. Puisiini, yang secaraluasdiakuisebagai salah satukaryaRendra yang paling humanistik, menyajikansistemtandaberlapis yang layakmendapatpengkajian sastra dan semiotiksecarasistematis. SementarastudisebelumnyatentangpuisiRendrasebagianbesarberfokus pada dimensisosial dan politiknya, analisissemiotik yang secarakhususmengidentifikasiklasifikasitandatriadikmasihkurangdieksplorasi. Penelitianinimenggunakanmetodedeskriptifkualitatifdenganpendekatansemiotik, yang berfokus pada analisistekstualpuisitersebut. Data dikumpulkanmelaluipembacaancermat dan didokumentasikanmelaluitabelklasifikasiberdasarkantipologitanda Peirce: ikon, indeks, dan simbol. TemuanmenunjukkanbahwaNyanyian Angsa mengandungketigakategoritanda Peircean. Ikon dimanifestasikanmelaluicitra yang secara visual menyerupaiobjek yang diwakilinya, khususnyapenggambarantubuhmanusia, penderitaan, dan unsur-unsuralam. Indeksmunculsebagaitanda yang memilikihubungankausalataueksistensialdenganreferensinya, termasukekspresi rasa sakit, marginalisasisosial, dan kematian. Simbolditemukandalambentukmakna yang disepakatisecarabudaya dan konvensional yang tertanamdalam motif angsa, kiasanreligius, dan diksipuitis. Jenis tandadominandalampuisiiniadalahsimbol, yang menunjukkanbahwaRendra sangat bergantung pada makna yang dikodekansecarabudayauntukmenyampaikanpesansosialhumanis dan kritisnya. Studi iniberkontribusi pada kajiansemiotika sastra dalampendidikanbahasa Indonesia dan menawarkanimplikasipedagogisuntukpengajaraninterpretasipuisi di tingkatmenengah dan perguruantinggi.
