Analisis Gaya Bahasa dalam Album “Nalar” Fourtwnty: Kajian Stilistika
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the figurative language found in the lyrics of “Nalar” album by Fourtwnty, released on April 21, 2023, using a stylistic approach. The problem raised in this research is how the use of figurative language in song lyrics constructs meaning, aesthetics, and emotional expression. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with documentation and literature study techniques. The primary data consisted of ten song lyrics obtained from official music platforms such as Spotify and YouTube. The results of the analysis revealed 136 instances of figurative language, with metaphor (34 instances), personification (25), and repetition (12) as the most dominant, followed by other styles such as paradox, hyperbole, antithesis, litotes, and metonymy. These rhetorical devices not only enhance the aesthetic structure of the lyrics but also convey deep social, psychological, and artistic messages. This study concludes that the lyrics in the “Nalar” album exhibit rich stylistic features that reflect Fourtwnty’s artistic identity and serve as a cultural expression in contemporary Indonesian music. The findings highlight the importance of stylistic analysis in understanding the depth and resonance of meaning in song lyrics.
