Analisis Wacana Kritis dalam Cerpen Perempuan dalam Bejana Karya Ni Wayan Wijayanti: Pendekatan Sara Mills
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi perempuan dalam cerpen "Perempuan dalam Bejana" karya Ni Wayan Wijayanti melalui pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis model Sara Mills. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) model Sara Mills. Pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis dipandang relevan karena memungkinkan untuk menelaah teks tidak hanya sebagai struktur linguistik, tetapi juga sebagai praktik sosial yang merefleksikan relasi gender dan kekuasaan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa perempuan dalam cerpen ini diposisikan sebagai objek yang diperjualbelikan dan direduksi martabatnya melalui wacana patriarkal, namun juga menunjukkan perlawanan simbolik meski berakhir tragis. Analisis ini memperlihatkan kontradiksi antara posisi perempuan sebagai subjek naratif dengan statusnya sebagai objek sosial dalam struktur patriarki. Bahasa dalam cerpen berfungsi sebagai instrumen kekuasaan yang melegitimasi ketidaksetaraan gender melalui metafora yang mendegradasi perempuan. Bentuk resistensi yang ditampilkan mencerminkan upaya merebut kembali agency dalam sistem yang menindas. Simpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerpen ini merupakan kritik sosial terhadap budaya patriarki yang terepresentasi melalui konstruksi wacana.
