Representasi Narasi Sejarah dan Nilai Budaya Bugis-Makassar pada Situs Sejarah: Analisis Deskriptif Kunjungan Lapangan Mahasiswa
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis representasi narasi sejarah dan transmisi nilai budaya Bugis-Makassar pada empat situs sejarah utama di Makassar, yaitu Makam Raja-Raja Tallo, Balla Lompoa, Benteng Somba Opu, dan Benteng Rotterdam. Melalui sudut pandang kunjungan lapangan mahasiswa, penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas artikulasi memori kolektif di tengah arus pengembangan pariwisata komersial. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi partisipatif in situ, wawancara mendalam terhadap 12 informan (pemandu, pengelola, dan masyarakat), serta studi dokumen kebijakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa situs-situs tersebut merupakan "wadah hidup" yang memuat memori kekuasaan lokal, budaya kekerabatan, dan perlawanan kolonial. Namun, ditemukan adanya gejala distorsi narasi berupa penyederhanaan konten edukasi dan penghilangan makna filosofis pada pertunjukan budaya demi menyesuaikan ritme pariwisata. Mahasiswa pertukaran cenderung lebih sensitif terhadap kelengkapan narasi sejarah dibandingkan pengunjung umum, di mana intervensi komersial yang berlebihan terbukti melemahkan suasana imersif ruang sejarah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan literasi sejarah melalui standardisasi konten penjelasan dan pembatasan zona komersial sangat krusial untuk menjaga otentisitas nilai budaya. Implikasi penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi narasi situs sejarah ke dalam materi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal untuk menjamin keberlanjutan warisan budaya bagi generasi mendatang.
