Analisis Makna Denotatif dan Konotatif pada Lirik Lagu “Sepatu” Karya Tulus
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna denotatif dan konotatif dalam lirik lagu berjudul “Sepatu” yang ditulis oleh Tulus. Lagu ini dipilih karena memiliki simbolisme yang mendalam, yang menggambarkan hubungan cinta manusia melalui objek sederhana yaitu sepasang sepatu. Penelitian ini sangat penting karena mampu menunjukkan bagaimana perasaan dan realitas hubungan dapat diungkapkan melalui bahasa kiasan dalam musik yang populer. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis semantik tentang makna denotatif dan konotatif. Data utama berupa lirik lagu “Sepatu” dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi tanda-tanda linguistik yang merepresentasikan dua lapisan makna tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam makna harfiah, sepatu digambarkan sebagai benda mati yang berfungsi berpasangan, sementara dalam makna tersirat, sepatu menjadi simbol hubungan cinta yang saling melengkapi namun terpisah oleh keadaan. Lagu ini menggambarkan cinta yang tulus, sangat penuh pengorbanan, dan terkadang tidak berujung pada kebersamaan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa analisis semantik mampu mengungkap makna simbolik yang mendalam dalam karya sastra populer, serta memperdalam pemahaman tentang bagaimana bahasa digunakan untuk menggambarkan pengalaman emosional manusia.
