Keefektifan Pembelajaran Membaca Pemahaman Teks Deskripsi Menggunakan Metode PQRST pada Siswa Kelas XII TKRO SMK Negeri 3 Tasikmalaya
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode membaca PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, dan Test) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks deskripsi pada siswa kelas XII TKRO SMK Negeri 3 Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu yang melibatkan satu kelompok. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 14 siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan tahapan metode PQRST. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pemahaman membaca dan observasi selama pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode PQRST memberi pengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan membaca siswa. Siswa dapat memahami isi struktur teks, menemukan gagasan utama, serta membuat ringkasan isi teks dengan lebih baik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan metode tersebut. Ini menunjukan bahwa metode PQRST dapat menjadi strategi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, khususnya dalam pembelajaran teks deskripsi pada jenjang SMK.
