Strategi Komunikasi Interpersonal Mahasiswa Dalam Konteks Penolakan Ajakan Teman di Lingkungan Kampus: Suatu Kajian Pragmatik
Abstract
Penelitian ini brtujuan untuk mengkaji strategi komunikasi interpersonal mahasiswa dalam menolak ajakan teman di lingkungan kampus. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap 15 mahasiswa, ditemukan bahwa mahasiswa menggunakan berbagai strategi penolakan, mulai dari yang langsung seperti "nggak bisa" hingga tidak langsung seperti beralasan atau bercanda. Pemilihan strategi dipengaruhi oleh faktor hubungan sosial dan situasi kontekstual, di mana hubungan dekat cenderung mendorong kejujuran, sementara hubungan biasa-hati-hati agar tidak menyakiti perasaan teman. Hasil penelitian menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan kompetensi sosial dan empati dalam komunikasi mahasiswa untuk menjaga hubungan sosial yang harmonis dan mengurangi potensi konflik. Strategi komunikasi yang sopan dan empatik menjadi kunci dalam proses penolakan yang efektif dan beretika di lingkungan akademik.
