Integrasi Kecerdasan Buatan dalam Penyuntingan Teks pada Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP IT Al Jawahir At Tarbawih
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine how artificial intelligence (AI) technology is used in the text editing process related to Indonesian language subjects in junior high schools (SMP). This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and collected data through semi-formal interviews with Indonesian language teachers directly involved in the teaching and editing process of school documents. The main focus of the analysis was to determine the function of AI as an assistive tool, highlight how well it detects technical errors (such as grammar, spelling, and sentence structure), and identify key barriers, particularly those related to students' academic integrity. The results showed that the use of AI accelerated the editing process for teachers, especially for highly accurate school administrative documents, such as reports and circulars. In addition, this study identified several benefits of AI, including providing broader access to materials, supporting personalized learning, and providing fast and accurate feedback to students. However, this study identified several issues with academic ethics due to students' tendency to use AI as a shortcut for individual assignments that require critical thinking and originality, thereby reducing the effectiveness of collaborative learning.
