Tantangan Kebahasaan Terkini: Dampak Negatif TikTok terhadap Bahasa Gaul di Kalangan Masyarakat Indonesia
Abstract
Perkembangan media sosial telah membawa perubahan signifikan terhadap cara berkomunikasi di masyarakat, khususnya di kalangan generasi muda. TikTok sebagai salah satu platform yang paling populer saat ini, tidak hanya menjadi media hiburan, tetapi juga ruang pembentukan gaya bahasa baru. Salah satu dampak yang mencolok adalah meningkatnya penggunaan bahasa gaul yang menyimpang dari kaidah bahasa Indonesia yang baku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak negatif penggunaan TikTok terhadap kecenderungan berbahasa gaul di masyarakat Indonesia. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa gaul secara berlebihan dapat menurunkan kemampuan berbahasa formal, melemahkan struktur kalimat, dan mengurangi kesadaran terhadap norma kebahasaan yang benar. TikTok juga membentuk pola komunikasi yang cenderung spontan, tidak santun, dan minim struktur, terutama di kalangan remaja. Fenomena ini dikhawatirkan dapat memengaruhi fungsi bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi resmi dan identitas nasional. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi kontribusi awal dalam memahami tantangan kebahasaan yang muncul di era digital serta mendorong kesadaran linguistik di tengah derasnya arus media sosial
