Hubungan Penggunaan Platform Tiktok Dengan Minat Belajar Bahasa Inggris Siswa Kelas IV Dan V Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi digital dan media sosial, khususnya TikTok, telah membawa perubahan dalam cara siswa sekolah dasar berinteraksi dan mengakses informasi. TikTok, dengan kontennya yang singkat, menarik, dan mudah diakses, mulai dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara penggunaan platform TikTok dan minat belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang disebarkan kepada siswa kelas IV dan V sekolah dasar. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki tingkat penggunaan TikTok dan minat belajar Bahasa Inggris yang cukup tinggi. Uji normalitas dan linearitas menunjukkan bahwa data memenuhi syarat untuk analisis korelasi Pearson. Namun, hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan TikTok dan minat belajar Bahasa Inggris berada pada kategori lemah dan tidak signifikan secara statistik (p > 0,05). Dengan demikian, tidak terdapat bukti kuat bahwa penggunaan TikTok berkorelasi dengan minat belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun TikTok memiliki potensi sebagai media pembelajaran, dalam konteks penelitian ini penggunaannya tidak menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa sekolah dasar.
