Implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah Melalui Pojok Baca Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Membaca Siswa Kelas 5 SD
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi pojok baca dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa di SDN Rawamangun 02. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wali kelas VB, dan tiga siswa kelas VB dengan tingkat pemanfaatan pojok baca yang berbeda. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman melalui langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pojok baca di kelas VB memiliki desain menarik dan ditempatkan secara strategis demi kenyamanan siswa. Pojok baca siswa dipakai untuk membaca sendiri maupun berdiskusi. Jenis buku yang paling disukai adalah buku dongeng bergambar dengan waktu membaca rata-rata 5 sampai 10 menit. Namun, ada kendala seperti keterbatasan variasi buku, belum adanya peraturan tertulis penggunaan pojok baca, serta minimnya ruang pojok baca. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan pojok baca masih memerlukan dukungan dari aspek sarana, program literasi yang sistematis, dan peran aktif guru. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar terciptanya strategi pemanfaatan pojok baca yang optimal untuk memfasilitasi budaya literasi di sekolah dasar.
