Rekonstruksi Sosial dan Resepsi Masyarakat terhadap Film Bumi Manusia (2019) Karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer
Abstract
Film Bumi Manusia (2019), yang diadaptasi dari novel karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer, mencerminkan dinamika sejarah dan sosial kolonial Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi nilai-nilai sosial dalam film menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra, serta untuk menelaah resepsi publik terhadap film tersebut sebagai adaptasi dari warisan sastra Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan analisis konten terhadap film dan naskahnya, serta analisis resepsi dari ulasan kritikus dan komentar di media sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film ini menggambarkan ketimpangan rasial, perjuangan kelas sosial, dan masalah gender, terutama melalui karakter Minke dan Nyai Ontosoroh. Selain itu, resepsi publik menunjukkan apresiasi terhadap narasi sejarah dan visualisasi tokoh, namun juga terdapat kritik terhadap alur dan kedalaman adaptasi. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan beragam cara film ini beresonansi dengan berbagai segmen audiens dan menunjukkan tantangan dalam mengadaptasi karya sastra yang kompleks ke dalam film.
