Pengaruh Media Audio Visual dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Menulis Teks Eksplanasi pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Neger 1 Galesong Utara
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Audiovisual Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Eksplanasi Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Galesong Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) yang melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 50 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 25 siswa kelas kontrol dan 25 siswa kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes menulis teks eksplanasi berupa pretest dan posttest. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji-t sampel independen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen meningkat secara signifikan dari 69,25 pada pretest menjadi 82,71 pada posttest, sedangkan kelas kontrol tidak mengalami peningkatan yang berarti. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05), yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa yang diajar menggunakan media audiovisual dan yang tidak menggunakan media audiovisual. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media audiovisual berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi siswa
