Penelitian Berorientasi Judul ke Masalah: Pelatihan Identifikasi Masalah untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Mahasiswa dalam Penelitian
Abstract
Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk membantu mahasiswa mengembangkan literasi penelitian dengan mengembangkan kemampuan mengidentifikasi masalah penelitian berdasarkan fenomena menggunakan model PIBR (Identifikasi Masalah Penelitian Berbasis Fenomena). Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan Pembelajaran Aksi Partisipatif (PAL) dengan melibatkan mahasiswa dari Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris, Program Magister, Fakultas Bahasa dan Sastra, Universitas Negeri Makassar. Untuk melaksanakan pengabdian ini, mahasiswa dilatih dalam empat tahap, yaitu penilaian awal, penguatan konseptual, lokakarya identifikasi masalah berbasis fenomena, dan refleksi serta penilaian. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa telah memiliki kemampuan untuk lebih memahami fenomena, mengidentifikasi masalah penelitian, dan mengembangkan metode kuantitatif atau kualitatif untuk masalah tersebut. Di samping itu, penelitian berorientasi judul telah digantikan dengan penelitian berorientasi masalah yang telah berhasil meningkatkan literasi penelitian mahasiswa saat memulai penelitian. Dalam praktiknya, model PIBR dapat digunakan sebagai alat pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah metodologi penelitian untuk meningkatkan proposal tesis mahasiswa.
