Pemberdayaan Sanggar Seni Sungging melalui Kolaborasi Program Pengabdian Mahasiswa Pendidikan IPS dengan Inovasi Program Jumara

Abstract

This community service initiative was carried out as part of an effort to empower the Sungging Art Studio through collaboration with Social Sciences Education students in the development of creativity based on arts and culture and the preservation of local culture. The main programme developed was JUMARA (Jumputan Bersama Berkarya), which aims to enhance children’s creativity, encourage the participation of the younger generation in cultural activities, and strengthen the promotion of the studio’s activities. The implementation method utilised a participatory approach through observation, involvement in regular dance and macapatan rehearsals, the implementation of the JUMARA programme, guidance on media publications, and monitoring. The target audience for the activities included the studio’s child members and its management. The results of the activities showed that participants followed the programme with enthusiasm and were active at every stage of the activities. The JUMARA programme provided new experiences in the practice of arts and culture, enhancing participants’ creativity, social skills, attention to detail, and confidence in self-expression. This activity demonstrated that collaboration between students and the arts community can serve as an effective community empowerment strategy in supporting the preservation of local culture based on the participation of the younger generation.
