Penggunaan Bahasa Daerah Dalam Kesalahan Penulisan Bahasa Indonesia Pada Mahasiswa
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa daerah serta pengaruhnya terhadap kesalahan penulisan bahasa Indonesia pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap lima orang mahasiswa sebagai responden yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dianalisis melalui tiga tahap, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan berdasarkan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman (1992). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa menggunakan bahasa secara kontekstual sesuai situasi dan lawan bicara. Bahasa daerah lebih dominan digunakan dalam lingkungan keluarga, pergaulan sehari-hari, dan komunikasi nonformal, sedangkan bahasa Indonesia digunakan dalam kegiatan akademik dan situasi resmi. Pengaruh bahasa daerah terlihat dalam proses penulisan bahasa Indonesia, terutama pada penyusunan kalimat, pemilihan kata, penggunaan imbuhan, serta gaya bahasa yang masih mengikuti pola bahasa daerah. Kesalahan penulisan yang ditemukan meliputi aspek sintaksis, morfologi, leksikal, dan ortografi. Faktor penyebab terjadinya kesalahan tersebut antara lain penggunaan bahasa daerah sebagai bahasa pertama, tingginya intensitas penggunaan bahasa daerah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta kurangnya pembiasaan menggunakan bahasa Indonesia sesuai kaidah baku. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi intensitas penggunaan bahasa daerah, semakin besar pula pengaruh dan kesalahan yang muncul dalam penulisan bahasa Indonesia mahasiswa.
