The problem in this study examines how grassroots social communities can form their power relations within the power relations of the campus. Therefore, this study aims to explain why grassroots social communities can establish their power relations and what forms of power relations exist within these communities. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Using Michel Foucault’s theory of power relations, the findings show that strategies and discourse games serve as instruments through which grassroots social communities build their power relations. The forms of power relations in these communities are: (a) power over the mind, which includes control and domination of thought; (b) power over the body, which includes discipline and the panopticon. It can be concluded that power over the mind shapes the ideas or discourse and the collective views of grassroots social communities regarding the conditions of higher education, organizational conditions, and student affairs. Besides power over the mind, power over the body directs a model of behavior that every community member must exhibit. These behaviors include habituation to holding discussions, studies, and reading books.
A Arika WibowoNurdevi Bte Abdul Andi Sukri Syamsuri Syahban Nur

https://www.dmi-journals.org/ijei/article/view/408

This study aims to identify the strategies used by sociology teachers in implementing the Blended Learning model, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the enhancement of learning capacity during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that sociology teachers at SMAN 4 Makassar implemented various strategies for Blended Learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as creating instructional videos, PowerPoint presentations, and assigning tasks. Supporting factors for enhancing learning capacity included providing free internet data and distributing digital books. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors included students’ psychological conditions, such as boredom with the learning process. The limitation of this study lies in its narrow scope, being limited to one school only; there should have been a comparison between urban and rural schools. Future research should employ quantitative methods to measure the effectiveness level of using the Blended Learning model.
Ade HandayaniSuardi SuardiRahmat Nur
