Aspek Speaking Dell Hymes dalam Berita “Sihol Situngkir Bukan Rektor Kami Lagi”
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis aspek SPEAKING Dell Hymes yang terkandung di
dalam sebuah berita online yang berjudul “Sihol Situngkir Bukan Rektor Kami Lagi”. Dimana berita
tersebut sudah banyak dikemas di berbagai artikel di media elektronik yang terkenal sehingga banyak
publik yang percaya. Di samping itu banyak cara untuk mengkaji konteks komunikasi dari teks berita
tersebut, salah satunya dengan menggunakan analisis wacana yaitu: peristiwa, kondisi, latar, dan situasi
di dalam berita. Konteks tersebut dikenal dengan akronim speaking Dell Hymes (Eli Herlina dan Imas
Juidah, 2022). Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana datanya berupa sebuah teks berita dengan
sumber data dari media elektronik Liputan6.com. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah
membaca dan menganalisis. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan content analysis dengan teori
aspek SPEAKING Dell Hymes yakni: Setting berupa latar dan suasana terjadinya peristiwa, Participants
berupa peserta yang berperan dalam sebuah ujaran, Ends berupa maksud dan tujuan, Act Sequences
berupa bentuk dan isi ujaran, Key berupa cara atau nada pembicaraan, Instrumentalities berupa alat atau
alur bahasa yang digunakan, Norm berupa norma interaksi dalam ujaran, dan yang terakhir adalah Genre
berupa jenis ujaran. Setelah dilakukannya penelitian menggunakan aspek SPEAKING terhadap berita “
Sihol Situngkir Bukan Rektor Kami Lagi” kesimpulannya Sudah Terdapat kedelapan komponen aspek
SPEAKING Dell Hymes di dalamnya.
