Pengembangan Cerita Bergambar Berbasis Pendidikan Karakter untuk Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Madrasah Ibtidayyah
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan buku cerita bergambar berbasis pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Kota Parepare, dan 2) mendeskripsikan kelayakan buku cerita bergambar berbasis pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV MI Ujung Lare untuk uji terbatas dan siswa kelas VI MI DDI Almustakim untuk uji skala luas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengembangan buku cerita bergambar berbasis pendidikan karakter meliputi: 1) analisis, 2) perancangan produk awal, 3) pengembangan produk, 4) implementasi, dan 5) evaluasi. Kelayakan buku cerita bergambar berbasis pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah menunjukkan validasi media dan materi sebesar 96%, validasi karakter sebesar 88%, validasi bahasa Indonesia sebesar 98,4%, validasi bahasa Bugis sebesar 100%, dan validasi bahasa Arab sebesar 60%; validasi bahasa Arab dilaksanakan dua kali dan mencapai 100% pada validasi kedua. Hasil uji coba skala terbatas menunjukkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 92,4%, dengan tanggapan guru terkait kelayakan menunjukkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 96%. Hasil uji coba skala luas menunjukkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 94,57%, dengan pengukuran pemahaman siswa terkait karakter dan ketertarikan membaca mencapai rata-rata 99,1%, serta tanggapan guru pada uji coba skala luas menunjukkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 96%. Meskipun buku cerita telah dikembangkan dan dinilai cukup layak, penelitian selanjutnya dapat mempertimbangkan perluasan koleksi buku cerita bergambar berbasis karakter. Variasi dalam cerita dan karakter dapat membantu memenuhi berbagai kebutuhan pendidikan karakter yang beragam.
