Pengaruh Minat Baca Terhadap Restasi Belajar Siswa Kelas VIII SMPN 1 Tikala
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan pengaruh minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Tikala. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik tes dan angket. Data diuji secara regresi statistik deferiansial dan statistik deskriptif. Untuk menguji hipotesis digunakan rumus ttabel dan thitung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Tikala. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi diperoleh persamaan regresi minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar siswa adalah Y = 2.754 + 0,160X. Nilai t yang diperoleh adalah sebesar thitung = 0,247 sedangkan nilai ttabel pada taraf signifikan 5 % adalah 0,100 maka thitung (0,247) > ttabel (0,100). Dari hasil tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yang berarti bahwa H1 diterima. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil analisis di atas menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan minat baca terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Tikala.
