Dinamika Struktur Kepribadian Tokoh Utama dalam Novel “Anjing Mengeong Kucing Menggonggong” karya Eka Kurniawan
Abstract
Novel Anjing Mengeong Kucing Menggonggong karya Eka Kurniawan mengisahkan tokoh Sato Reang yang mengalami konflik batin mendalam akibat tekanan ayahnya agar menjadi anak saleh setelah disunat. Ketegangan antara dorongan naluriah, tuntutan sosial, dan nilai moral agama yang dipaksakan menjadikan tokoh ini relevan dianalisis melalui pendekatan psikologi sastra, khususnya teori psikoanalisis Sigmund Freud yang membagi struktur kepribadian manusia menjadi id, ego, dan superego. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap kondisi kejiwaan tokoh utama secara menyeluruh melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik baca catat, penandaan, klasifikasi kode, dan reduksi data pada bagian – bagian novel yang mencerminkan dinamika ketiga struktur kepribadian tersebut. Hasil penelitian menemukan 26 data, terdiri atas 9 data id, 14 data ego, dan 3 data superego. Id tokoh berkembang bertahap dari fantasi ringan menuju ideasi agresif yang lebih besar dan pelanggaran norma tanpa rasa bersalah. Ego tidak sepenuhnya menekan id, melainkan lebih sering mengalihkan bahkan memfasilitasinya, termasuk melalui ritual identifikasi dengan ayah yang telah wafat. Superego tampil lemah dan tidak konsisten terutama muncul dalam relasi dengan figur bu, bukan ayah. Ketidakseimbangan struktur kepribadian ini menghasilkan individu yang mampu berfungsi secara sosial namun tetap menyimpan energi destruktif yang terus mencari saluran, sekaligus diharapkan memberi kontribusi bagi pengembangan kajian psikologi yang ada di Indonesia.
