Telaah Struktural Robert Stanton dalam Cerpen Arinillah karya Taufiq El Haqim
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara komprehensif struktur intrinsik cerpen "Arinillah" karya Taufiq El Hakim menggunakan teori strukturalisme Robert Stanton, mengisi kesenjangan penelitian dari studi terdahulu yang hanya mendekati karya kaya filosofi ini melalui semiotika. Menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif dalam kerangka penelitian kepustakaan, data dikumpulkan melalui teknik simak dan catat secara intensif, kemudian diproses menggunakan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa unsur-unsur struktural cerita secara kohesif membangun tema ketuhanan (divine) yang mendalam mengenai hubungan eksistensial antara manusia dan Tuhan. Fakta cerita dibangun di atas alur tiga tahap yang progresif, berlatar zaman dahulu di kawasan kota dan pegunungan, serta digerakkan oleh tiga karakter sentral: Ayah (protagonis), Anak laki-laki (antagonis), dan Kakek Ahli Ibadah (tritagonis). Selanjutnya, sarana sastra menggunakan sudut pandang orang ketiga terbatas, gaya bahasa yang mudah dipahami namun filosofis, serta simbolisme mendalam dari perjuangan seorang ayah. Komponen-komponen ini pada akhirnya berujung pada ironi dramatis yang tajam: permintaan terus-menerus sang anak untuk melihat Tuhan secara paradoks mengakibatkan sang ayah kehilangan kesadaran duniawinya secara total setelah menerima sebagian kecil cahaya Ilahi. Integrasi dari unsur-unsur struktural ini berhasil membangun totalitas estetis yang utuh dan bermakna.
