Dari Kampus ke Dunia Kerja: Efektivitas Program Magang Bagi Mahasiswa FISH UNM
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas program magang dalam meningkatkan kesiapan kerja mahasiswa FISH UNM di tengah tuntutan dunia kerja pada era revolusi industri 4.0 yang menekankan pentingnya keterampilan profesional, komunikasi, adaptasi, dan kerja sama. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-evaluatif. Informan yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang mencakup mahasiwa yang mengikuti program magang, dosen pembmbing, dan pihak mitra instansi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program magang memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kesiapan mahasiswa dalam bekerja, yang dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya kemampuan akadmeik dalam menghubungkan teori dengan praktik peningkatan keterampilan teknis dan nonteknis seperti komunikasi, kerja sama tim, manajemen waktu, serta meningkatnya kesiapan mental, disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kepercayaan diri dalam menghadapi dunia kerja. Walaupun masih terdapat beberapa tantangan seperti kurangnya pengalaman, penguasaan teknologi, dan proses penyesuaian terhadap budaya kerja. Program magang ini terbukti efektif sebagai jembatan antara pendidikan dan dunia kerja, dalam mempersiapkan lulusan yang lebih berkualitas dan siap untuk bersaing
