Gen Alpha dalam Pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi di Tengah Keterbatasan Fasilitas Sekolah
Abstract
Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) merupakan program yang dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan budaya membaca dan kemampuan literasi peserta didik melalui berbagai kegiatan yang terintegrasi dalam lingkungan sekolah. Namun, pelaksanaan program tersebut masih menghadapi berbagai kendala, terutama pada sekolah yang memiliki keterbatasan fasilitas pendukung literasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, mengidentifikasi berbagai tantangan yang dihadapi, serta menjelaskan upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam mengatasi keterbatasan fasilitas literasi di SMP Negeri 15 Pekalongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan guru, peserta didik, serta petugas perpustakaan. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gerakan Literasi Sekolah telah dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan membaca, pemanfaatan perpustakaan, penyediaan sudut baca, pemasangan poster literasi, dan pemajangan hasil karya peserta didik. Akan tetapi, pelaksanaannya belum berjalan secara optimal karena kegiatan membaca 15 menit belum dilakukan secara konsisten, koleksi buku masih terbatas, belum terbentuknya tim literasi yang aktif, serta keterlibatan orang tua dan masyarakat yang masih rendah. Meskipun demikian, sekolah tetap berupaya mengembangkan budaya literasi melalui pemanfaatan fasilitas yang tersedia dan pemberian motivasi kepada peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan program literasi melalui pembentukan tim literasi, penambahan koleksi buku, serta peningkatan kerja sama antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat agar budaya literasi dapat berkembang secara berkelanjutan.
