Strategi dan Inisiatif Lokal dalam Meningkatkan Akses Pendidikan Berkualitas di Desa Jandi Meriah Kecamatan Tigandreket Kabupaten Karo
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi dan inisiatif lokal dalam meningkatkan akses pendidikan berkualitas di Desa Jandi Meriah, Kecamatan Tigandreket, Kabupaten Karo. Permasalahan pendidikan di desa ini meliputi keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan, rendahnya akses teknologi pembelajaran, kondisi ekonomi masyarakat yang belum merata, serta kurangnya motivasi belajar pada sebagian peserta didik akibat faktor lingkungan dan geografis. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari kepala desa, guru, orang tua siswa, tokoh masyarakat, dan pelajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan akses pendidikan di Desa Jandi Meriah dilakukan melalui berbagai strategi lokal seperti penguatan kerja sama antara sekolah dan pemerintah desa, pembentukan kelompok belajar masyarakat, penyediaan bantuan pendidikan bagi siswa kurang mampu, perbaikan fasilitas belajar, serta penguatan nilai gotong royong dalam mendukung pendidikan anak. Selain itu, masyarakat desa juga mengembangkan inisiatif berbasis komunitas seperti rumah belajar, pendampingan belajar oleh mahasiswa, dan kegiatan literasi desa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan peningkatan akses pendidikan di wilayah pedesaan sangat dipengaruhi oleh partisipasi aktif masyarakat lokal, dukungan pemerintah desa, dan kolaborasi antar lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan kebijakan pendidikan berbasis desa, pemerataan fasilitas pendidikan digital, serta pengembangan program pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk mendukung pendidikan berkelanjutan.
