Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari permasalahan kurangnya inovasi media yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis biografi, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya minat belajar peserta didik.Kurangnya minat tersebut berpotensi menurunkankualitas kemampuan menulis teks biografi yang harus memenuhi standar Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Untuk mengatasi hal itu, podcastdipandang sebagai alternatif inovatif yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran biografi.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan implementasi podcast sebagai inovasi pembelajaran biografi pada peserta didik kelas X SMK PGRI 1 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif.Analisis data dilakukan dengan dua metode, yakni tes berupa tugas menulis biografi serta nontes berupa dokumentasi, angket, dan wawancara selama proses penelitian.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwapodcast dapat diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran menulisbiografi pada peserta didik kelas X SMK PGRI 1 Semarang. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui hasil penilaian tugas menulis biografi peserta didik yang memperoleh nilai rata-rata 86. Selain itu, data nontes juga memperlihatkan kontribusi peserta didik selama pembelajaran berlangsung lebih antusias mengikuti proses dari awal hingga akhir.
