Representasi Makna Cinta dan Pengorbanan dalam Lagu “Risk It All” Karya Bruno Mars: Kajian Semantik Generatif
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi makna cinta dan pengorbanan dalam lirik lagu Risk It All karya Bruno Mars dengan menggunakan pendekatan semantik generatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan data berupa lirik lagu yang dianalisis berdasarkan struktur dalam dan struktur permukaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode dokumentasi dan teknik simak-catat, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan kerangka semantik generatif dengan mengidentifikasi peran semantis seperti agen, tindakan, objek, dan tujuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna cinta direpresentasikan sebagai keadaan emosional (state) yang bersifat intens, total, dan berorientasi pada objek, sementara makna pengorbanan dikonstruksi sebagai tindakan (action) yang merupakan konsekuensi langsung dari cinta tersebut. Struktur permukaan lirik yang sederhana dan repetitif menyembunyikan kompleksitas makna pada struktur dalam yang mengandung relasi konseptual yang kuat. Selain itu, ditemukan pola relasi semantik yang konsisten, yaitu cinta sebagai penyebab (cause) dan pengorbanan sebagai akibat (effect), yang dapat dirumuskan sebagai LOVE → SACRIFICE. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan semantik generatif efektif dalam mengungkap makna mendalam dalam teks kreatif, khususnya lirik lagu, serta memperluas penerapannya dalam kajian linguistik.
