Peningkatan Literasi Membaca melalui Model Discovery Learning pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Abstract
Rendahnya literasi membaca siswa kelas VC SDN 3 Surutanga Kota Palopo menjadi latar belakang dilaksanakannya penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan literasi membaca siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan setiap siklus terdiri atas empat pertemuan termasuk tes hasil belajar. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 siswa kelas VC. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan tes hasil belajar menggunakan instrumen lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, serta lembar tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada proses dan hasil belajar. Pada siklus I, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran mencapai 90% dan aktivitas siswa 80% dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 54% dengan nilai rata-rata 86. Pada siklus II, keterlaksanaan pembelajaran meningkat menjadi 100%, aktivitas siswa menjadi 93%, dan ketuntasan hasil belajar mencapai 79% dengan nilai rata-rata 92. Dengan demikian, penerapan model discovery learning terbukti dapat meningkatkan literasi membaca siswa kelas VC SDN 3 Surutanga Kota Palopo.
