Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Ulasan Cerpen Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sei Rampah
Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menuangkan ide secara tertulis, penggunaan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi, serta kemampuan menulis teks ulasan yang belum mencapai KKTP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC terhadap kemampuan menulis teks ulasan cerpen siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sei Rampah. Adapun populasinya yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII sejumlah 320 orang, dengan sampel sebanyak 32 orang yang terbagi dalam kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain quasi eksperimental design tipe desain nonequaivalent posttes-only control group design. Instrumen yang diterapkan yakni tes menulis ulasan cerpen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis teks ulasan cerpen siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan model RADEC adalah 77,10, termasuk kategori baik dan melampaui KKTP (70). Sementara itu, kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model TPS hanya memperoleh rata-rata 64,84 dengan kategori cukup dan belum mencapai KKTP. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model pembelajaran RADEC lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks ulasan cerpen siswa dibandingkan dengan model TPS.
